Last year, Vivo announced that they are working on a new technology where fingerprint sensor of the phone would be placed under the display and that news was considered by hoax by many people. But today, from that concept video, Vivo finally launched the Vivo X21 that comes with an in-Display Fingerprint sensor and it looks the smartphone from the future.

The smartphone got some really great aesthetics and looks just gorgeous.

The Vivo X21 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE Processor coupled with 6GB RAM, 128GB Storage which can be expandable up to 256GB. It has 6.28-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Display having 2280*1080 resolution. Since it is 2018 phone, it has FullView Display, with up to 90.3% screen-to-body ratio for a better viewing experience and also has a notch.

For optics, Vivo X21 has 12MP + 5 MP dual pixel rear camera sensor and 12MP front-facing camera. Apart from that it has 3200mAH battery, supports Fast Charging, there is no Type- C Port. Along with in-display fingerprint, the phone also supports face unlock. The Vivo X21 has 3D Glass Back with Almunium body that looks just gorgeous.

The thing that makes Vivo X21 stand out from the crowd is the new tech in it. Vivo X21 is officially the first smartphone that comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. That means, you would not see the fingerprint on the phone but what you will see the illuminating light under the display which is a fingerprint sensor. All you need to do is place your finger on the display and it will unlock the phone.

The fingerprint sensor works great. It is slightly slower than the traditional fingerprint sensor that we are experiencing in other smartphones but you will barely notice the time delay of microseconds. The in-display fingerprint sensor also works pretty well when the screen is layered with a Screen Gaurd, water drops, dust etc.

The In-Display fingerprint sensor is the great start by Vivo and we can expect this technology in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Pixel 3 or maybe in the new iPhone. But that is just a thought.
