OnePlus 6: Specs, Design & Price
OnePlus 6 always remains in the limelight before the launch event. There are a lot Android fans who are waiting for OnePlus 6 as OnePlus is providing top-notch specs, packed in premium hardware at the not-so-premium price.
There are already the leaks which are claiming the OnePlus 6 specs. According to OnePlus 6 leaks & rumors, the new OnePlus 6 would be powered by Snapdragon 845 Processor. As usual, there would be 2 variants of OnePlus 6, one with 6GB RAM, 128GB Storage and another with 8GB RAM, 256GB Storage.
Apart from that, there would be 20MP + 16 MP dual camera setup on the new OnePlus 6. It is not confirmed if the secondary rear camera is Telephoto lens or monochrome lens. The OnePlus CEO shared some Camera shots taken by OnePlus 6 on China’s Social media platform Weibo.

OnePlus 6 Design
Talking about the design, OnePlus 6 has some major changes. First thing first, the new OnePlus 6 has that Notch thing on the screen, smaller than iPhone X, which will hold the Front Facing camera, sensors, and earpiece. According to OnePlus, the New OnePlus 6 has 6.28-inch display, which is the largest display on the OnePlus phone without increasing the overall size of the handset. The OnePlus 6 has 90% screen-to-body ratio and equipped with AMOLED display, which to me is going to be the best thing on the new OnePlus 6.
The OnePlus also confirmed that the new OnePlus 6 is Water Resistant and has the legendary 3.5MM jack.

Another worth mentioning thing about OnePlus 6 is the Glass Design. The OnePlus 5, 5T was packed in the metal body but this time, OnePlus 6 going to have Glass Design.
— OnePlus (@oneplus) April 23, 2018
According to Pete, CEO of OnePlus said in the OnePlus Forum “The OnePlus 6’s glass back contains five printed layers of Nanotech Coating, a first in the smartphone industry. We applied 5 layers of Nanotech Coating instead of 3, even though the degree of separation between each layer is extremely subtle and tough to discern.” You can see more here.
The pricing for OnePlus 6 is going to be hard this time. Considering 2280 X 1080 AMOLED Display, 90% Screen to body ratio, Glass Design, Specs sheet, almost everything is pointing the higher prices than OnePlus 5T. We are not even expecting the price to be equal to 5T.
The prices for OnePlus 6 is expected to be somewhere around $530 for 6GB RAM & 64GB Variant and ~$720 for new 8GB RAM, 256GB storage variant. In terms of pricing strategy, OnePlus have to play it safe for OnePlus 6. Few more dollars is still a decent idea and to be honest, is acceptable but major jump in the prices will definitely be going to hamper the sales of OnePlus 6 in India as well as in other big smartphone markets.
