OnePlus officially announced the latest OnePlus 5T in an event in Brooklyn, New York. The OnePlus 5T was indeed the most awaited Android smartphone for many OnePlus and Stock Android fans. In short period of time, OnePlus has earned so much fan following that is all because of solid features packed in solid hardware running on almost Stock Android.
OnePlus had recently launched the OnePlus 5 in June 2017 and today OnePlus announced the updated version of OnePlus 5. Obviously, the OnePlus 5 users would not be happy with the new OnePlus 5T as OnePlus launched the better phone so early because their OnePlus 5 is no more a flagship. Nevertheless, OnePlus 5T is out now and here is everything you wanted to know about OnePlus 5T.
OnePlus5T: What’s New?
Now let’s talk about the new OnePlus 5T. Well, there is nothing really new about the new OnePlus 5T but there are small updates in terms of Display, Fingerprint sensor placement, Camera.
The New OnePlus 5T now comes with 6-inch Optic AMOLED Display with 18:9 aspect ratio. OnePlus officials were saying again and again that the display of the new OnePlus 5T is the best OnePlus display yet which will give you an immersive user experience.
There are some software gimmicks with the display like automatic contrast while playing games for better experience. Apart from that, there is nothing significant in the display.
Another update comes in the camera of OnePlus 5T. There is no change in the camera sensors of the new OnePlus 5T. It is still the same 16MP/20MP (Sony IMX 398 & IMX 376K respectively) dual camera setup but this time, both are f/1.7 aperture camera sensor. The front camera is still the same that is 16MP Sony IMX 371 Camera lens.
In terms of picture quality, OnePlus is claiming the better picture quality than before. As Telephoto camera sensor is now updated to the f/1.7 aperture from f/f2.6, it can capture better portrait shots without cropping the frame. You can capture full frame Portrait shots with the new OnePlus 5T. Moreover, you can capture better low light photos, Portrait shots. The video stabilization is also improved in the new OnePlus 5T.
There is only one significant change and that is the placement of Fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint in the OnePlus 5T is placed at the back of the phone.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 5T also runs on 2.45GHz Snapdragon 835 Processor which is based on the 10nm chipset coupled with coupled with up to 8GB/6GB LPDDR4X RAM. You will get 64GB/128GB storage variants. The battery OnePlus 5T is also same that is 3,300mAh battery that comes with OnePlus’s very own Dash Charging. The 3.5MM jack is still there in the OnePlus 5T.
OnePlus 5T Pricing
The OnePlus 5T will be exclusively available on Amazon India. The Amazon Prime Members will get the early access on 21st November, 4:30 PM (IST) onwards. The price for the OnePlus 5T starts from ₹32,999 for 64GB variant & ₹37,999 for 128GB variant.
So, that is all about the new OnePlus 5T. There is nothing significant change in the OnePlus 5T. If you have OnePlus5, you don’t need to update to OnePlus 5T. In terms of overall performance, both OnePlus5 & OnePlus 5T are the same.
