As we already said, Nokia finally launched the Android Smartphones in India. In an event in New Delhi, Nokia launched Nokia 3, Nokia 5 & Nokia 6 in India. In the event, Nokia’s hosts were laying stress on the Consumer Care & Consumer Satisfaction. To satisfy its customers, Nokia is setting up 400 Retail Stores in India including 300 Nokia Customer Care. Nokia is also commencing Pick and Drop facility in 100 cities. And, under the Make In India initiative, every Nokia Mobile is manufactured in India.
Nokia already launched the legendary Nokia 3310 in India and now, Nokia officially launched the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 & Nokia 6 in India. Here is everything you wanted to know about Nokia’s Trio:
The Nokia 3 is cheapest among the trio and made for budget oriented consumers. The Price of the Nokia 3 is ₹9,499 and would be available in the offline market only and that is a good news for many people.
Talking about the specs, Nokia 3 has 5-inch HD (1280X720) display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor coupled with 2 Gigs of RAM. Nokia 3 has 16GB of Internal storage which can be expandable using SDCard.For camera job, Nokia 3 has 8 MP f/2.0 rear and front facing the camera. The phone has the powerhouse of 2650mAh battery. The phone would run on Android 7.1 out of the box and Nokia is promising about monthly security updates.
The Specs of Nokia 3 is nowhere close to Chinese giant Xiaomi’s Redmi 4 or Note 4. They are offering the much better package at this price but, the performance of the phone depends on the software optimization and Nokia is offering clean Stock Android with monthly security updates which are pretty convincing.
Nokia 5 is placed in the middle of trio. The Nokia 5 is pretty good looking smartphone by Nokia which is packed in a unibody metal design. The price of Nokia 5 is ₹12,899 and would be available in the offline market only.
Talking about the specs, Nokia 5 has 5.2 inches HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and powered by Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with 2 gigs of RAM. It comes with a fingerprint sensor which is embedded in the home button itself but there is No NFC connectivity. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE. For the camera job, it has 13MP f/2.0 primary camera lens dual tone LED flash and 8MP front facing camera. The Nokia 5 is powered by 3,000mAh battery which is pretty decent but we can expect the juice for the one day as it has 5.2′ HD display. The phone would run on Android 7.1 with Google Assistant out of the box.
Nokia 6 is a flagship Android smartphone by Nokia, at least as of now. Nokia 6 would cost you ₹14,499 and would be available exclusively on Amazon. The sale would commence on 14 July 2017. Talking about specs, Nokia 6 has 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. Nokia 6 has a unibody metal design and comes with a 2.5D glass on the front. There is a physical home button at the button which also comprises a fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, Nokia 6 runs on Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, Adreno 505 GPU and coupled with 3 gigs of RAM. Nokia 6 has onboard storage of 32Gb which can be expandable using SDCard. For camera job, Nokia 6 has a 16MP rear camera sensor with PDAF and an 8MP front-facing camera with 84-degree wide-angle lens for wider selfies. The phone would run on Android 7.1 out of the box with Google Assistant.
Pricing & Availability
Nokia is trying to make a balance between the online and the offline market and that is why Nokia makes some serious discussion with their sales team about the availability of Nokia devices. Nokia will sell Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 exclusively in the offline market while Nokia 6 which is flagship device by Nokia, would be available exclusively on Amazon.
The prices of Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 is ₹9,499, ₹12,499 & ₹14,499 respectively. You can grab the Nokia 3 from 7th June from the nearest Nokia store. For Nokia 5, you have to wait till 7 July which would also be available in the offline stores only. Nokia has tied up with 400 distributors and 80,000+ stores across India which is sufficient to meet the demand. The flagship, Nokia 6 would be available exclusively on Amazon and sale would commence on 14 July.
