HMD Global, the new home of Nokia phones finally reveals first Android powered Nokia phone. Nokia 6 is the new phone by Nokia which is powered by Android. The company has issued the press release and also gives us a sneak peak of how new Nokia would look like by releasing the promotional video (Embedded below) of the new Nokia 6. But, for now, Nokia 6 would be available only in China.

Nokia 6 Specifications :
Let’s talk about the specifications and other features of the Nokia 6. The phone has 5.5′ IPS LCD (1080×1920) display and covered with a protector layer of 2.5D Gorilla Glass. Nokia 6 is running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, 4GBs of LPPDDR3 RAM, and 64GBs of storage expandable via a micro-SDHC card slot. The powerhouse of Nokia 6 is of 3000mAh.

Nokia knows the customer’s demand and the market trend, this is why Nokia followed the custom and did not remove 3.5mm Jack. Nokia 6 also has the fingerprint scanner. In the promotional sneak peek video, we can see that Nokia also added the micro USB port instead of USB Type-C port which is a good thing. Type-C port doesn’t have the proper ecosystem as of now.

HMD will be selling Nokia is through its exclusive online retail partner JD.com and priced at 1699 CNY in early 2017. The price of Nokia 6 in India would be around ₹16,500 ($250). Nokia 6 indeed, would be a big threat to companies like Moto, Samsung, Xiaomi. These companies already have great phones in this price range. With Nokia 6, their sales definitely going to affect but the question is, How much?

HMD Global also said that Nokia would launch 5 more phones in 2017. As the strategic move, The phone would be available in China only. The reason behind is the fastest growing smartphone demand and the customers. Here is what HMD said in this respect “China is a reflection of the desire to meet the real world needs of consumers in different markets around the world. With over 552 million smartphone users in China in 2016, a figure that is predicted to grow to more than 593 million users by 2017, it is a strategically important market where premium design and quality is highly valued by consumers.”
