One of my colleagues contacted Apple customer care today. he explained his iPhone 6S problem and they do accept that issue.
The answer from the Apple Care was something like that ”
“Yes, Sir, many iPhone 6S, and 7 users are facing this problem. The recent iOS 10.0.1 and 10.1 have some bugs and that’s why it is creating some sorts of compatibility problems with the battery. But, you don’t need to worry, bring your invoice with the identity proof, we would replace your iPhone”
But there is a completely different scenario on Apple’s official website.
Apple official website also ready to replace the iPhone’s Battery. On Apple website, there is now a separate page under support category. The Page titled as iPhone 6s Program for Unexpected Shutdown Issues. There you can get the process of How you can replace your iPhone Battery.
For replacing your lovable iPhone’s battery, make sure you go through this process
- Back up your data to iTunes or iCloud
- Turn off the Find my iPhone
- Erase all the data from Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings.
There are some rules that you have to comply with before replacing the battery. If your iPhone has any other problem like cracked screen or any other issue, then that issue also need to resolve with battery replacement which can costs you some bucks.
