Since this morning, many WhatsApp users are facing an issue in their WhatsApp and that is a notification saying “WhatsApp Became Obsolete” and you have to update the app. The problem seems legit and maybe you don’t have the latest version installed but real problem starts when you headed over to Play Store to update the WhatsApp but there is no update available.
Surprisingly, few of the devices are facing the issue. One of my smartphones, Redmi 4 caught itself into the problem and I figured out its solution. Unfortunately, there is no way to fix this problem without losing the data but there is a loophole where we can solve the Whatsapp obsolete issue without losing WhatsApp photo, videos, chat and other stuff. WhatsApp will surely fix the issue but don’t know when.
So, if you are facing the “WhatsApp Obsolete issue“, here how you can fix it without even losing the WhatsApp data.
Fix WhatsApp Obsolete Issue
Follow the steps mentioned below and get the WhatsApp Obsolete Issue fixed:
1. First of all, go to WhatsApp.com and download the WhatsApp APK file. Remember, you don’t need to download the app from Play Store. Go here and download the apk file for Android from WhatsApp official website.
2. Now go to Settings and then Security. Turn on the “Unknown Sources”.
3. Fetch the downloaded apk file using File Explorer and install the Whatsapp. Just install the WhatsApp without uninstalling the previously installed version.
3. Now open the WhatsApp and you will get the working WhatsApp back again.
