First, you need to install the WhatsApp for your Windows or Mac machine. You can download it for free. After installing, Open it. Windows user must have Windows 8 or higher and Mac user must have OS X 10.9 and higher

  1. Install WhatsApp on your Smartphone

Yes, I know you have WhatsApp on your smartphone but is that the latest version. If yes then go on to next step. If not, what are you waiting for? UPDATE IT NOW!!!

After installing the latest version of WhatsApp, open the app on your smartphone.

  1. Configuring it for the first time

After opening the WhatsApp on your desktop. The first screen would be like shown in the picture.

Now, on your Android smartphone. Open the WhatsApp and tap on the vertical dotted menu on the top right of your screen. Select the WhatsApp web. It will bring to you to another screen.

In that screen, you have to scan the QR code shown in WhatsApp desktop application from your phone. It would take some seconds.
